Germany defeated world champions Australia and reach the men’s hockey final in London
Beat defending champions Germany on world champions Australia 4-2 on Thursday to reach the final of men’s hockey competition at the London Olympics.
Australia went ahead in the first half, which came quickly through Glenn Turner but Germany realized an equalizer from a penalty corner kick from Moritz Forest.
The draw was a fair result for the way that two teams presented a classy performance.
Germany looked more dangerous early in the second half but Australia made then had a goal ruled out for Germany.
But the German team fought back and equalized through Matthias and Athaws free from surveillance.
